2nd and 3rd August, 2009
Beautiful, clean, black tar seal roads! Who’d have thought those words would come from us? We have left the dust, sand and corrugations behind for a while and have headed to Kununurra. We’ve taken a cabin for two nights as we are quite simply - DIRTY. Everything we touch leaves our hands filthy and our skin is dry and splitting – we need to chill out. We haven’t done much here, just relaxed in this pretty town.
The vegetation along the highway now includes Boab Trees which stand majestically among the gums. I couldn’t get a picture though, as Cam and I were busy in the back seat doing school work. Dan sat in the front discussing monster truck and 4WD’ing techniques with Steve in between singing gangster rap while listening to his i-Pod.
Tomorrow, we head to Edith Falls for a couple of nights before hitting Darwin.

Make sure you visit the Hootchery and buy some spirit whilst you are in Kunnunurra. Lake Argyle also worth a visit.
