4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th July, 2009
Back in Alice Springs for final repairs and rest until hitting the desert. First stop was the Alice Show for the kids to scare us witless on the dodgem cars (as Steve and I had to be passengers) and do a grab on show bags. Also went to the local craft and arts market. It was again interesting to note the amount of stalls set up to sell goods and send money to places like Cambodia and Timor??? Still unsure why we aren’t fundraising for the local community? God knows they need it! Anyway, I’ve already had my rant about that.

Caught up with Dale for the last time before he heads off back to the UK. Was great to get to spend some time, as I fear it will be a while before we’re all together again.

Now that the power shower has been installed and the CV joint replaced , we’re good to go. It is with much anticipation that we again start the beginning of our desert journey…
