Made it to Alice Springs just in time to set up camp and for Steve and Cam to do a quick birthday present shop for Dan. Tomorrow’s the big day, I wonder what changes it will bring.

Steve also spoke with the store that installed the Front Air Locker – interesting conversation. We can get the airlocker hose fixed, but we’ll have to go to Darwin to do so. Once again, our plans have changed and we’re heading to Darwin. The Audio Option Headrest DVD player on Cam’s side also needs replacing and we need a TJM store to do it and Darwin is the only one in our sights. Oh well, there are worse places we could be diverted to.

It’s only been 3 months of traveling but we have asked the car, trailer and modifications to do some really hard work. The constant corrugations and ruts have now worked all the inside screws loose, with the sun visors and such needing constant attention on the way to Gemtree. It’s all good though. We’ve traveled some amazing tracks and seen incredible beauty – what more can you ask for?
