After 5 hours in the car we have finally made it to the Northern Territory and now we are sitting in a motel room in Erldunda. We didn’t arrive here until 6:00pm, so opted for a room instead of setting up the camper. Not much to report here, just stopping for a night and will set off in the morning for Uluru. Once again the constant hum of generators is with us, but at least we can close the motel room door and block most of it out.

Must say though, that this place has the BEST bakery we have every encountered. Breakfast was a real treat.

On the way we did stop off at the Breakaways which is just about 30 km’s north of Coober Pedy. They were brilliant. The views were breathtakings and encompassed all the earthy colours from whites through to oranges and red to dark browns. I only hope our photos do it justice.

That’s about it for here, we’re just looking forward to Uluru.
